Flexo

Flexo or Flexography its official name, is a type of printing process that uses a flexible relief plate. Perfect for printing on all types of flexible packaging materials, the plates can be used and re used over and over again!

The plates are designed so the print surface is raised where the image has been exposed.

The plate surface is the only area that comes into contact with the substrate after the ink is applied to the plate. The etched or relieved areas do not contact the ink. The plates are flexible enough to be wrapped around cylindrical print/plate rollers.

  • Medium to Large print runs
  • 4 week turn around
  • Minimum order of 10,000
  • Intricate Design Capability

Gravure Print - Cylinders

Gravure printing is a long-run, high-speed, high-quality printing method that delivers a very detailed image. Your image will be acid-etched on the surface of a metal cylinder. One cylinder is used for each colour in a pattern of cells that are recessed into the cylinder. The dimension of the cells determines the colour intensity.

The packaging material is pressed against the inked cylinder on a rotary press, and the image is transferred directly to the material.

  • High Quality results
  • Printing times are extremely quick
  • Gravure cylinders are extremely durable
  • Ideal for long runs
  • Cylinders last for literally millions of print runs!
